Plant & Animals Welfare Society – Mumbai (PAWS-Mumbai) team rescued two Kites & a baby Pigeon. One of the Kite was hanging in manja (thread) on a tree, as kite festival Makar Sankranti will be coming in 2 weeks, but people have already started flying kites. It was seen that manja was entangled on the one of the leg of the bird, so it can’t possible to fly. PAWS-Mumbai rescue team member reached the spot and possible to rescue the bird, later removed the thread from the leg. Now the birds condition is good but it got little injury, so we will be releasing only after it get fit to fly freely.  PAWS-Mumbai appeal to the citizen not to fly kites by using glass coated thread or now a day Chinese thread is available in market or stop fly kites.
