After Plant & Animals Welfare Society - Mumbai (PAWS-Mumbai) Exposed the Animal Cruelty inflicted to animals in Mumbai Zoo in Citizen Inspection Report. Animal Welfare Board of India had send an the letter to Central Zoo Authority and marked the copy to The District Collector - Mumbai, The Superintendent of Police - Maharashtra, Regional Dy. Director - Wildlife Crime Control Bureau and also the Director - Veermata Jijabai Bhosle Udyan - Mumbai, requesting then to kindly investigate the matter and direct the concerned authorities to take appropriate action to prevent to prevent any such events / cruelties from happening in the future and take action against the offenders as per the law and also further added action taken in this regard may kindly be intimated to the Board.
