On 12 November 2011, Plant & Animals Welfare Society – Mumbai (PAWS-Mumbai) had lodge a written complaint of hit an Buffalo and run case against the owner of Dumper Truck no. MH 04 DD 5349 with Wadala Truck Terminal Police Station, Mumbai and requested to lodge FIR.
On the base of PAWS-Mumbai Complaint & Evidence provided to Police, Wadala Truck Terminal Police Station registered an FIR (No.: 252 Dated : 17.11.11) against the dumper driver under Section 279, 336, 427 of Indian Penal Code and 134 (A) of Motor Vehicle Act.
