PAWS-Mumbai sends a written complaint to Bhandup Police Station against hit a Pregnant Cat and run case

Wednesday, November 23, 2011 

On 22 November 2011, Plant & Animals Welfare Society - Mumbai (PAWS-Mumbai) send a written complaint of hit a Pregnant Cat and run case against the driver of BEST Bus no. MH 01 L 9144 on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at around 3: 15 PM at Shivnari Sadan on the road near Patkar Compound, Gamdevi Road, Bhandup (West) to Bhandup Police Station and requested them to investigate the issue and register an FIR against the BEST Driver under various section of  Indian Penal Code, Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, Motor Vehicle Act and other animal protection laws, we have also informed about the incident to General Manager, Vikhroli BEST Bus Depot & even to RTO Mumbai (Central).

As per the information, after hitting the Pregnant Cat the driver had left the spot with the bus and local people who were gathered had help the Pregnant Cat body to lift and keep it to the side of road that has 4 babies inside the stomach. BEST Bus number received from local resident who had informed PAWS-Mumbai about this incident.
