Monitor Lizard rescued from drainage line at Bhandup by PAWS-Mumbai Rescue Team

Bhandup | MUMBAI : Plant & Animals Welfare Society - Mumbai (PAWS-Mumbai) Rescue Team rescued a Monitor Lizard from drainage line at Saikrupa Society No. 2, Nardas Nagar (Kranti Nagar) Tembi Pada, Bhandup West. It was spotted by local resident who informed PAWS-Mumbai helpline and later it was released in the natural habitat.
 
As per the view of resident they were observing this lizard since 2 days. Lizard was healthy and active. The drainage line was to small and it was having two openings, so we have blocked one side and put water so it can come out from other end. It taken 30 minutes for rescue said Sunish Subramanian Kunju who lead the PAWS-Mumbai Rescue Team.
